They found happiness in a simpler way of life! Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s farmhouse is far from the usual Hollywood mansion. 🏡 With its wood-paneled walls, modest furnishings, and animals wandering around the property, the home feels cozy, natural, and refreshingly down-to-earth. 🐐 More than 10 photos offer a look at both the inside and outside 🌿.
When Kevin Bacon first arrived in Connecticut, he was not looking for a glamorous celebrity retreat. In 1983, before Footloose made him a household name, he bought what he described years later as “a rundown little farmhouse” with a tiny wood stove, imagining a quiet life with a dog and little else. He had never even visited Connecticut before making the purchase, but the idea of escaping into the countryside appealed to him after a relationship ended. Bacon pictured himself chopping wood, walking through snowy winters and living almost like a modern-day solitary man. What began as a modest escape, however, eventually became a family homeshared with Kyra Sedgwick and their children, Sosie and Travis. Over the years, the property also filled with goats, pigs, alpacas, miniature horses, gardens and plenty of music. The quiet retreat Bacon once imagined had become something much bigger—and far less lonely.
